In a move set to revolutionize highway commuting, the Indian government is set to launch a ₹3,000 annual FASTag pass for private cars. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced details of this new initiative, which will allow unlimited trips on national highways for a fixed yearly fee, starting from Independence Day. This aims to ease highway travel, reduce congestion at toll plazas, and further promote digital payment methods across the country's road network.
