In June 2025, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has implemented a fresh price hike across select variants of its popular SUVs, the Fortuner and the premium Legender, raising prices by up to ₹68,000
Petrol Variant Sees the Steepest Hike
The Fortuner 4×2 Petrol Automatic now commands an additional ₹68,000, pushing its ex-showroom price to ₹36.05 lakh
Diesel Variants Increased Uniformly
All diesel trims—Fortuner and Legender, including 4×2 and 4×4 manual and automatic versions—have been hit with a ₹40,000 increase. The Legender 4×4 MT and 4×2 AT now cost ₹46.76 lakh and ₹44.51 lakh, respectively

Mild‑Hybrid Neo Drive Updates Context
This price adjustment follows the recent launch of 48V mild‑hybrid Neo Drive variants: the Fortuner Neo Drive is pegged at ₹44.72 lakh, and the Legender Neo Drive at ₹50.09 lakh ex-showroom. These hybrid options include a 360° camera and wireless charging, enhancing their appeal without affecting standard trim features
Why the Hike & What It Means for Buyers
No feature upgrades on non-hybrid variants; only pricing has been adjusted.
Input cost inflation and lineup realignment post-hybrid launch likely drive the hike.
Buyers of non-hybrid diesel 4×4 AT variants must now pay extra or shift to mild-hybrid Neo Drive for similar options
Conclusion: Segment’s Top SUVs Get Pricey
The revised pricing positions the Fortuner lineup between ₹36.05 lakh and ₹52.34 lakh ex-showroom, with the GR-S diesel AT variant leading the pack at ₹52.34 lakh.
While still holding strong in the premium SUV segment, buyers may now consider alternating 7-seater rivals in a similar range.
